Method
How the Result Is Generated
This tool converts height, weight, waist circumference, age, formula parameters, and activity level into four readable signals. It is useful for self-orientation and preparation for health conversations, not for diagnosis or a weight-loss prescription.
BMI
BMI equals weight in kilograms divided by squared height in meters. The page uses common adult reference thresholds of 18.5, 25, and 30.
Waist-to-height ratio
Waist-to-height ratio equals waist circumference divided by height. It complements BMI by highlighting abdominal fat distribution. The 0.50 boundary is a common screening reference, not a diagnosis.
BMR and TDEE
BMR is estimated with the Mifflin-St Jeor equation. TDEE multiplies BMR by the selected activity factor to estimate daily energy needs.
